I attended a Human Rights workshop and was enlightened by the United Nations Development Goals:

1 - End Poverty & Hunger

2 - Universal Education

3 - Gender Equality

4 - Child Health

5 - Maternal Health

6 - Global Partnership

The question, "what am I doing to help?" rang in my head continuously through the talk and all I could do was sit there, on my iPhone and browse endless online stores for a perfect pair of wedges to crown my 1st pair. I know I'm a self-confessed shoppaholic but I couldn't help but look at what I had become with disgust! A selfish life filled with self-woes and aesthetic longings...

Where was the depth? The passion? Seems Uni has turned into endless days of work and endless insomniac-driven nights of American-Teen drivle.

Went to Selfridges to shop for my friend **Toy's birthday dress and bumped in The Noisettes' Shingai Shoniwa! :o I was the only one who recognised her and after I stated who she was, some faux-stans clammed her for photo-ops

Remember that Centre Parcs advert? "We have no time to stand and stare"? Well, today...or tonight, I'm taking a time-out to do just that. STOP! Wait...before crossing to the land of adulthood and choices and selfish ambition.

Workshop embodies what my life has become...a blurry daily routine of work and shopping. No pleasure or satisfaction is truly derived...just shopping and spending, thoughtlessly. So this week was beautiful...its amazing the miraculous things that can happen when you re-welcome God into your life :)

I got the opportunity to Marshall for two judges this week at one of Manchesters' Crown Courts and miraculously got referred to a Barrister for an informal mini-pupillage and the Judge's daughter for a scheme that I may be crazy not to take up in my gap-year next year....EEK!!

Its a shame that I had to wear dark colours in court cos it kinda put my whole plan to spice up my wardrobe on hold. I tried to add accesories to the mix, but when you wake up late with only 30mins to spare, there's only so much you can do fashion-wise *sobs*

I finally plucked up the courage to ask randomers to be my photographer and its actually a lot of fun as I instruct to take 4/5 shots and Hasan (my hijab'd tourist photographer) was lovely enough to really put some effort into it :)

So I continued my birthday celebrations over the weekend and went on a girls' night out to Circle in Manchester.

Kano was at the club :) He said "Happy Birthday darling" to me

Sadly, it wasn't the best night but I woke up the next morning to news of my 1st ever feature as the Fashion Bombshell of the day!

The comments were inspirational as this was the first time I'd heard my style was simple and chic....or in the meaner words of some, bland and boring. LOL...I've always been quite good at handling criticism, not so good at accepting compliments. I try not to take on people's opinions (especially of 'my' style) too much on board but its true...my winter wardrobe IS rather dull.

What that triggered was a deep, thoughtful look at my winter wardrobe. I realise that I'm stuck in a rut of "dark colours", same-ish outfits and lack of patterns or prints. I'd never quite realised how many block coloured pieces I had until the feature....

I am MORE than excited for this new post because:

1) This is my 1st EVER BLEURGH post solo. As you can tell, my silent partner, YaYa, no longer bleurghs so its just me me me. Do you guys like the new layout? Please gimme some feedback (Bleurgh-Back Below), good or bad on what you love/ should be changed :)

2) I'm 21 now!! That means I'm a full- fledged adult in every country :)

As you can see from the title, for my 21st, I jet-setted to Milan, Italy for the day. BEAUTIFUL!! I loved every second of it...even the hectic, insomniac ridden feeling....*yawn*

• Outdoor outfit posts - unlike other bloggers, my photographers will be taken by the general public. Wherever I am, I will get whoever is around me to capture the moment. I've always loved interacting with strangers so this is just another excuse :)
• Vleurghs...its been a while since I made a video and I'm gonna be putting more up here, hopefully even creating a YouTube Channel! (Watch This Space)
• More frequent posting!! I can't hide behind YaYa anymore and blame hiatuses on her...
• Coverage of events, nights out, splurges, etc

So this summer I became OBSESSED with 'How I Met Your Mother'!! I'd been told one too many times to start watching it and after my brother gave me the boxset (a legitimate way of saying he transferred the downloaded files to Blanche-my MacBook)...I became hooked.
But watching S04 E19 (what? Thats how its labelled LOL) made me ponder...I'm turning 21, in my final year of studying Law at Uni, and after making excuses the first few weeks...are there things that I'll say:

"I'm too old for this ****"?

Play Dress Up:

I am a BIG fan of playing dress-up! Whether its rading my sister/ mother (or sometimes, brother's) wardrobe for fab finds or just gearing up for Halloween (even though I'm not pagan but a devout Christian)...I love wearing something completely out of character

Went to my ex-flatmate's Medic's Pubcrawl in one of my Dr. Brother's scrubs...added my own twist to it

I'm dressed as a sailor & YaYa as a playboy bunny ;)

Going Loco:
I am one of THE vainest humans to walk this earth...yes its a sin and I'm working on it but can I really be 25, on a long train ride to an unknown destination for a court hearing and indulging in some PhotoBooth lovin'?
