BIY: Highwaist Denim Cut-offs

In preparation for my holiday, I raided my loft for old pieces that I would revive for the new summer season. One of the things I was searcing high and low for were denim shorts. Unfortunately, the ones I found were just not up to scratch (style-wise). And after the torture I'd endured in the vintage store (I HATE the smell of those places) after my MEGA-HEGGA thunder thighs wouldn't fit ANY levi's cut-offs...I decided to embark on a BIY sesh.

 1. Get a fugly pair of old jeans.

 2. Mark out where to cut the jeans.

Tip - always better to mark out longer than necessary 

 3. Draw a line right across the width of denim & using scissors, cut along the marked line

4. Fold up denim to desired length

 5. (Disclaimer - for those WITHOUT mahoosive thunder thighs) FINITO

 (Disclaimer - Only continue if you struggle to pull up those babies past your knee *blush*)

6. Cut along the hem of the inner-thigh until desired length of which denim will be rolled-up

 7. Fold up to desired length. FINITO

 And there you have it...not so hard to rock this season's hottest essential at no cost at all!

Ok guys...wanted all deats to be finalised before I shared the news but I'm off to Gran Canaria on Saturday for a week with my girlies!! Can't wait! I never got to do the whole 'Post Sixth Form Friendship Holiday' with my **8Ballers so I decided to make it up this time....I was NOT passing up on that opportunity. For my YouTube followers, I'm gonna do a 'Summer Holiday Essentials' video on what I'll be packing for the holiday, a 'Show & Tell' Vleurgh on what I found in my loft that'd be good for this season as well as many more...Hope to record and take LOTS of pictures there so I'll def bring some heat and some back with me for you guys x

Over the past fortnight I've been back in Manchie (or in reference to the title, Manny), its been ALL about FUN FUN FUN!! I've lost my voice near-enough permanently and I DESTROYED my ZARA corduroy peglegs that I'd only worn once; Click Here. It's sad to think I may never see some of my friends again due to geographical inconveniences....or if we DO keep in touch (come on now...technology is TOO advanced to lose touch), we wont get to chill like we do now on a daily *sigh*

Best Thing I Never Had

Its MAD sad that Queen Bey's album leaked but it's also a blessing cos I am IN LOVE with so many tracks on it. One of which is me & my (ex Co-Blogger) flatmate's favourite, 'Best Thing I Never Had'. I know she's a married woman, but the way she melodically translates the pain and attitude of just about every heart-beaten & bashed single lady in the world is a beaut!

Chit-chatting with a friend, who quite like myself in the past, is contemplating joining a nunnery. Now, I went as far (at the time) of signing up for an all-girls Catholic Sixth Form in my bid to run away from the woes induced by the male-species. But at the end of the day... I am, and will always be strictly dic...I'll leave you to finish the rest *blush*

Main squeeze, wifey, hoe, mistress, freak-a-leek, single & proud....whoever you are as a woman, you can't deny that you relate to the song! It makes me just want to throw my fist up and growl out the lyrics. I may have been out of the game for a while but its shocking what emotions it digs back to the surface and how much I want to call this person or the other and just smirk as I say "I bet it sucks to be you right now". Like, how SICK would that be?

The song depicts the raw emotions of any girl when the honeymoon-rose tinted glasses have been shattered and he (in the words of Beyonce, and my all-time favourite movie; Two Can Play That Game) shows his ass. We don't use slangs like trifling and the like in the UK, but its SO fitting in this case. I guess, I'm at a REALLY good place in my life right now. With a great social network etc....guys and their wahala seem a million miles away from my everyday reality. But this song just brought it all back..."I used to want you so bad, but I'm so through with that". And honestly, to all the ladies stuck in a bad situation right now, i wanna be the Bey-like voice urging you to see that "what goes around, comes back around"; Karma's a bitch with dog-like balls. It may not seem all gravy right now, but you'll come out unscathed (and even if you suffer a few wounds along the way), you'll surely grow from it and look back one day smiling.

BLEURGHair - Retro Rihanna Shave

Hola! As you guys saw from my last post (thanks SO much for all the lovely comments and compliments), I shaved off the sides of my hair! It was a brave move and it took a LOT of guts walking into the barbers and going through with it :)

The look was inspired by these pictures sent to me by my sister (she's living vicariously through me....only a matter of time before she cuts her hair too me thinks) and I fell in love once I set my eyes on it!

Can't wait to add some highlights (thinking brown and a darker shade of blonde than Rihanna is rocking) for the summer. I know its SO cliche going for the short Rihanna look but I just LOVED it & its nice to see some of you guys do too. Already getting some handy tips on how to take care of the sides (which I REALLY appreciate), you guys are just THE best!

Attended my **8Ballz' birthday in Cater Rooms, London, on Saturday. I came down for the week and as it was in Central, I decided to indulge in some much needed girl time with my other **8Baller, JBrit, by having a sleepover.

 It was a joint birthday between **Hansonex and 2 other of her friends (hence the 63 on this gorgeous Hummingbird cake....twas YUM); a private shindig in a plush bar.....yes please.
