Fever Pitch

**Soundtrack of the Minute - Kelly Rowland : Rose Coloured Glasses**
WOW! I dunno where you've been if you cannot testify as to the surprises of the World Cup, which is proudly being hosted on African turf! Too proud for words!! A few of my friends have the great luck (and I guess wealth doesn't hurt too) to go to South Africa and catch the Forca fever 1st hand...Tres Jellie!
But don't think I've been a couch potato, sitting down day-in, day-out, watching game after game..far from it! I've been a BUSY bee these last few weeks and cheers to a GREAT summer ahead...

MINI PUPILLAGE
I had given up ALL hope of getting a mini-pupillage after a thousand+1 rejection letters & emails, that when I received an email from 'One Crown Office Row', I immediately dismissed it before another mind told me to go back & check and to my surprise I'd landed it!!
Due to confidentiality issues, I can't fully disect the things I did but here's a sneak peak..

The mini-pupillage went on for a week and I was thankfully shadowing a great junior barrister who had a lot on his plate so I got to experience the 'Baha Mousa Public Inquiry' | shadowed a different Senior Barrister at the Royal Courts of Justice for one of THE most interesting and complicated family law cases (SERIOUSLY!). Lower down the scale, I travelled to North London for a road traffic accident case, which although not as glamourous as the rest of my days, was insiteful as I got to truly see the diversity of a Junior's life. And lastly and most giddy-making...exciting...and well...
I contributed to a blog entry!!
Check it out!!

On my way back to Manchy on my last day...hectic and tired! So what better to ease the stress than indulging in some bonding sessions with Blanche + Photobooth time? lol

After that HELL of a weekend...I tell you now, moving is NO joke, I bid adieu to my Manchester flat with its fun girly memories, arguments, cat-fights & battles with guys over the food in my snack draw...*sobs* I returned to London, prepped up for what Summer had in store.
1st up...get a JOB! I'd lined up a few interviews over the week, and after an annoying interviewer, a job that paid little or nothing and a jewellery store that turned me down, I find myself sadly back in the job market....TOUGH TIMES!

Attended my cousin's **Charmz 21st Birthday in the Marriott Hotel in Park Lane. Disregarding the minor glitches like Africans abiding by African Timing and arriving 3hours later than stated on the invitation, the shindig was beyond lush! She had an outfit change, bar on tap, emotional speeches...twas all just FAB! The 3-course dinner was delicious with a summer berry fruit cheesecake to truly cement their mark on my heart... With champagne flowing, delicious food and beautiful company (literally EVERYONE was decked to the 9's), who can complain?

Dress - Pussycat (Allders) | Neck Candy - *borrowed - Mother's* | Heels - Red Herring (Debenhams) **I've had this dress for a few summers now but because of its BRIGHT GREEN straps which I tucked in, I'd never really warmed to it until now
EEK! This outfit was featured in 'I Know What You Wore This Summer'...a FAB blog on a lower scale to CLookBook/ hictopia, compiling outfit posts of Bloggers...xisses

YeYe says...BLEURGH! Get in the swing on things and take summer in your stride. Xisses

Little Miss Sunshine

** Soundtrack of the Minute: Chipmunk - Superstar **
So this post was meant to have gone out a while back as a celebration of freedom from the captivities of exams, stress and just general work-modedness lol
But as I have been hella busy with things I am SO excited to fill you in on, I thought, I might as well get this bubba out in the sun for a lil tan....

There's nothing better than having ample amount of time on your hands with nothing to do but waste it! This day was aimless and I loved every second of it!! Days like this make me ponder the possibility of becoming a housewife in the future...but one too many lectures from Mummy about the dangers of giving men the power to control your finances and your day-to-day living, soon banished such wishes from my mind.
I mean, don't get me wrong! I wont knock any woman in that position, its not all luxury shopping, liasing with other jobless whores at social shindigs and more luxury shopping, this time ONLINE! No, there are some women out there that dont have a choice but to BE a housewife due to background circumstances or lack of education, etc, and kudos to them for doing what they do to support their family, and doing it well.
I digress....
Anyway, so this 1st official day of freedom was spent at 1st in town shopping with my lovely whore, **Toy, licking ice lollies and indulging in endless summer trends on the highstreet. And then we decided to lay back and chill with some of the coolest man-whores in my life (atm...don't get it twisted, your roles are dispensible...*chuckles*), doing what they do best, CHILL UP!

Unfortunately, YaYa was unable to indulge in some of this fun as she was not (at this point) done with her exams... :( *wails uncontrollably*

NIGHTIME (Night of Freedom)
Off-Shoulder Top - Allders | Neck Candy - Claire's
Skirt - H&M | Heels - Debenhams

We then decided, last minute, to head out on a night out before I made my way to London for what I will fill you in on in my next *BLEURGH*...EEK! Twas a relatively good night. Guess it just made me realise, after a few double Sourz shots that I have (due to the toils of student life, the drama that ensues in the life of a young female and the relative random excuse to just 'let my hair down') become a heavy-weight! I didn't even get tipsy, and I had vodka shots before we headed out!! SUCKY SUCKY!

I feel all nostalgic looking back at those pics cos I've changed my hair...yes...AGAIN! And no, there will be no video of me prancing around (for your comedic value) cos I have safely (and after ENDLESS teasing) come to the conclusion that somethings should just be left for my eyes only lol. Anywho...here's what the new banger looks like...

I think Summer deserves long hair! But as I am currently refraining from my usual 18" and sticking to shorter lengths, I decided to go for an inch longer than my last crop and add a bit of colour to reflect my personality and SUNSHINE!! So I went BANG on trend and added a platinum blonde streak (as well as brown) to my fringe. I know...even my hairdresser was a tad frightened and acted like I just handed her a ferret! But at the end, even she (and the other customers, hairdressers, nails people...just saying!) had to acknowledge that it looked good lol.
Took a bit of getting used to, and a few tweaks (Onyxsta DIY Style) with the razor and a few added tracks before I was fully comfortable with it...but I'm happy enough now to share it with you. Thoughts?...

YeYe says...BLEURGH! Banish the tarnished leather gloves & throw your fists up because Lil' Miss Sunshine is FREE AT LAST!! Xisses

Where's Wolly

*Soundtrack of the Minute - Drake Thank Me Later (leaked album...don't judge me)**I
was recently informed that my outfits come off as 'attention seeking'. Now, to me, that holds strong negative connotations. It triggers an image of a girl standing on top of a chair in a board meeting full of civilised individuals, begging to be noticed. I don't think I'm like that at all...infact, I don't really LIKE getting attention, I just like dressing up. YES! I wear bright coloured tights and head candy the size of a Lady at a Horse racing shindig, but if I think that's what it takes to round up my outfit, then so be it. The person MAY be reading this with a quizzical expression, completely baffled because I've taken the comment out of context...but its cos I've heard it all before and just thought to clarify. I don't want to be the centre of attention, neither do I want to pose like an animated character in a multicoloured striped jumper that jumps off the page a la Wolly!

In the words of Drake, "I'm doing me"

Anyway, this season I've rekindled my passion for accessories and statement pieces. As you will notice from the first few pics, I fell in love with fancy footwear! From bright coloured leggings to ripped, more edgier ones. I dunno what it is about legs that's deemed 'sexy' (as is evident from SATC2), but my policy has always been show ONE! Whether its legs or chest, show one. Well...anyway, I digress...
