Music Wednesday!

Hey guys, I know we were meant to be doing Music Mondays, but I'm having a musical day today, it seems to keep my mind occupied, which I can promise you all is a really good thing. So today, I'm having an appreciation for Rihanna and her new album, I think its great, and really shows of her personality. Its edgy, raw and her accent really comes through. So I think I'll share a song off the album that has been on repeat on my playlist a lot today, and that is Te Amo:

BTW: Just to note, it is not an expression of her lesbianism, the song is about a girl dancing in a club, and another one comes over and dancing with her, but its not just dancing, its very touchy feely. Interesting topic, I'm sure some can relate??... Well regardless... I still like it, and thought I'd share... soooo... toodles! xx

Yaya says...... BLEURRRGGHH.... Te Amo!!!!

BLEURGH's Music Video Mondays

So me & YaYa are Music fanatics!! So we decided to share every Monday (kinda helping our posts become more regular) some of our favourite/ addictive songs ....If this were done last week...on the list would have been Staccie Orrico "Don't Ask Me To Stay", Alicia Keys "Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart", Cheryl Cole "Fight for this Love", Chris Brown "Crawl".....
But sadly, we failed to follow through but on a brighter note....we have NEW MUSIC Bleurghers!!!
This week is kinda unique cos I'm focusing on new VIDEOS but next week should be better....I was also thinking of doing 'Throwback Thursdays' where I share some of our highly entertaining and slightly personal video blogs....before we created Bleurgh! What do you guys think...oui or non?

But without further adieu....

Toni Braxton ft Trey Songz = So Yesterday
(In my opinion, they both needed each other! She needed a young star to keep her "hip" cos with the divorce scandal, etc circulating. She needs someone to keep her in tune to what really matters with the younger audience. And well, as much as i LOVES me some Trey BayBay...his record hasn't been selling as well as he'd hoped so...these 'featuring' gigs will mean a LOT for his bank balance! Let not fail to mention Toni's one HOTT tamale in this vid lol)

Keri Hilson = I Like
(The song's VERY European!! Kelly Rowland better watch out...another R'n'B princess is tapping into the fast-paced techno scene....ouch! The jig's up! The video doesn't really Do anything for me tbh...she's in some next room while the main story surrounds a tranny....hmmm How RIVETTING...NOT! lol)

Shakira ft Lil Wayne = Give it up to me
(The song isn't really saying much but oddly, its VERY catchy!! I catch myself saying "down boy" now & again....is this what they so frequently warn about the dangers in the power of music? NAH!! Lol...the choreography is on POINT!!)

And OBVIOUSLY I was gonna save the best till last...
Alicia Keys = try Sleeping with a Broken Heart
(This was nowhere NEAR what i imagined the video...my concept envisaged Alicia in her bedroom moping with her lover getting like visions or something....but that would be much like the "Doesn't Mean Anything" video. This concept is FAR better....she takes on a Rogue (from XMen Comics) character who can heal everyone else's broken heart but the one she TRULY wants is beyond reach, and instead all she can do is hurt him. I'm sure a LOT of us can relate to this. After weeks of chanting this song as my morning anthem, shower power, or midnight lullaby...I am pleased to finally put a visual to the lyrics. WELL DONE Homewrecker!!)

On a side note, I missed the AMA's last night but thanks to Twitter I was able to keep up with all the ins and outs...

YeYe says...BLEURGH!! Music is SO powerful, it manages to encapsulate whatever emotions we are going through and just convey them via lyrics....Watch Glee's latest episode, it's VERY much so linked to that theme!

Two weeks in the life of Twenty

WOW!! So I've been HELLA busy! So much so, that I've found it hard to even have time to breathe. Ok, well that's an exaggeration but you guys need to recognize, I was born a drama queen lol.
So YaYa's already informed you of the deats (TRANSLATION: Details) to do with my Surprise 20th...but WOW!! It was SO good, its worth a 2nd mention!!
THE SURPRISE
After a SUCKY week of tears (DONT ASK!!) and work work work...there was nothing better to take my mind off the stress of uncompleted coursework and heartache than a party!!

THE DRESS
A GORGEOUS H&M Tutu dress....a bit supressive on the boobage area. But HEY!! I was meant to be the centre of attention anyways and this dress ensured that lol.

THE CLUB!
After the initial surprise in my flat and the meet & greets...we progressed to the club for a FUN (Alcohol intoxicated) filled night! The fellas had the champagne flowing and the chicas had their hips gyrating (I've always HATED that word but it seems fitting)

THE MORNING AFTER
I woke up the next day with a swollen ankle and some SERIOUS bruises on my legs....my hips hurt like hell and my throat was sore. I felt like CRAP but the memories were worth all the pain. We also had to return the favour to some guests as they were throwing a house(flatwarming)party. So although I had remained in a towel all day...I had to get off my butt and get dressed.
THE HOUSE PARTY

It wasn't really our scene, meaning NO disrespect at ALL!! So we ended up at a friend of ours, chatting away until the early hours of 7AM!!! Yup!! Thats what happens when you have individuals from opposite genders discussing topics like marriage and love and money...things get a tad heated! LOL

Opaque Tights = Marks & Spencers
Biker Boots = Borrowed from flatmate **Tosse
DINNER & DESSERT

My birthday was FAR from over after the weekend and I ended up treating my closest girlies to a FAB dinner at this multi-cultural restaurant called "Salt & Pepper" (highly recommended! It has everything from Indian to Chinese to American Burgers....all in one menu!!). But sadly as twas quite late, they had run out of deserts. But these are the perks of living a stonethrow away from the Curry Mile. We went for deserts at this new desert bar....yum! Waffles, Pancakes, Sticky toffee pudding....MEMORIES!!
GHANA's NIGHT OUT!!
But that was over 2weeks ago and a lot has happened between my birthday and this very day. The next weekend, the guys had some of their friends from different Unis over and yet again....twas a night to remember....or NOT!! As most of us were totally off our nuts in alcohol that we'd rather not reminisce on the events that occurred.
I was wearing (although I'm not pictured) :
Tanktop = H&M
Necklace = Oasis
Skirt = Debenhams
Heels = Dorothy Perkins
LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

I feel like after I turned 20, my life has been in fast forward but in a different light. I've felt like that in the past, but normally in a bad way...like its beyond my reach. But now, I feel in tune with what i want and how I want it to pan out. I can't say that for EVERY aspect of my life, but its an ongoing struggle. I joined Twitter, and for someone thats always taken pride in a claim on my private life being private, I find it VERY contradictory to 1st have Facebook, then a blog and NOW, a Twitter account? LMFAO!! Someone sound the gong....HYPOCRITE on the loose...and proud!!

EMPLOYMENT
But nothing quite prepared me for what was to come! After tireless months threw Summer, looking for a job, it just so happened that my birthday truly WAS a blessing!!! My sister came down to Manchester that Friday (of the Surprise) to "cheer me up", but REALLY to act as a distraction from my flat, etc. And we ended up in Trafford Centre jobhunting...aimlessly. Only, it wasnt the case, as I got a callback & after a successful interview, I am proud to say I have bagged a part-time job in retail!! Yay ME!! One bad thing is the hours. I am currently working 30 hours and its KILLING me....but I have faith that a lil bit of compromise here and there is all it really takes for true happiness.

PHEW!! I've tried to compress my last HECTIC fortnight into one blog post....I hope that was as informative as it felt typing it. Until next time hunnies...
YeYe says...BLEURGH!! A fortnight in the life of an adult beyond her teens. Xisses
Good times are rolling!!!...

Hello all, its been a WHILLLEEE since I've blogged I know, its been a pretty hectic couple of weeks, but I will say fun hectic. Yeye's blooged all about of fun times with the girlies, and I'm glad to say that they keep flowing. Me personally, I can start the Friday before reading week, where Yeye and I took a trip to Birmingham to attend a Halloween party called 'Thriller' (I know... scary). At the same time we had a mini Ditzee reunion, as one of our friends is in Birmingaham... happy happy joy joy!! Soooo Thriller... yes... fun times... apart from the lack of oxygen and space to move, I would say it was a succes... *cough*... yes... and at the end of the night we EVEN got to walk home in the rain!!! Couldn't ask for a better night myself :D...

I know usually we write were we got our outfits from and such like
But I just decided that this was a nice pic, so put it up
The format is the same,
Yeye went as a rock chick (Like the tear drops??.. My handy work if I do say so myself :D)

Anywhoooo moving on to reading week...

For reading week, I left the girlies, and the Manchie ways, and went back to London... it was goood, not amazing, but a nice rest, where I could eat when I wanted, and watch The Bold and the Beautiful everyday without fail. GOOD TIMES!! I have still to get the Wilma girls into it... but dont worr
y, I will!

Reading week also ended with a reminder of the great one.... MICHEAL JACKSON!... Meaning I got the chance to watch 'This is it' with my mummy, I have to say that I was througoughly (that word just looks like its spelt COMPLETELY wrong... but mehh... you get my drift :) ) So like I was saying, I was really impressed, MJ is truly the King of Pop, a perfectionist, and that concert would DEFINATELY have been amazing. I would advise anyone who hasnt watched it, and still has the chance to go and watch it, you wont be disappointed. Oh and if you wanted to know (Well... even if you dont, I'm still telling you..) that MJ is now officially my uncle... so anything anyone needs to know about him, please feel free to bleurgh-back with any questions, and I'll be sure to answer them for you :D. NOTE: The questions answered will be according to my discretion, Jackson family secrets are very sacred, and wont be thrown around all willy nilly... I'm sure you understand. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Next on the menu... thats right, you guessed it.... Yeye's Surprise Birthday!... So for the occasion, I decided to do things a little differently this time around... :D

So as I may or may not have said, I'll add a picture or two... (or maybe just one because I'm lazy) to document the night...

Yes even during her bday party the ms cant put down the BB... its an addiction I tell you ADDICTION... Like the dress??.... heheheh... I do too

Yaya says...... Bleuuurgghhhhhh... let the good times roll for as long as they can, because before you know it bills and babies will come flooding through the door!!!
